The car displays 'Engine Malfunction' along with 'Hill Start Assist is Not Available'. I ran it through an ODB device but it is not finding any active fault codes, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Have the same problem ABS and ESP warning lights are on, no Hill Launch Assist and no Speed pilot functioning. The problably use the same sensors as the ABS and ESP. Cleanet both contacts in front wheel arches with compressed air and reconnectet. One of them was pretty filled with dirt, but no luck, lights still on.
Even gauge sweep won't always help. The cluster has no other problems (display, LEDs, etc.) except for the needles. Dash diagnostics are also ok (eg. speed information). I have reflowed the MCU and about 50-100 components around it. I also reflowed the connector pins which were clearly cracked.
David2206. A Quick fix if your "Bonnet Open" warning on dash comes up and possibly electric windows, washer pump, air blowers and mirrors stop working. Take bonnet sensor socket off the bottom/ underneath side of the latch assembly carefully, it may have a squeeze connector on the side of it. . 32 547 182 493 103 530 378 768
