Undoubtedly worth the wait, Half-Life 2 is a stylish, involving and graphically stunning game. It largely makes good on its promises of bringing new levels of emotional connection to itsThe original won many, many awards and was a groundbreaking release. Before Half-Life no game had ever intertwined gameplay with storytelling so gracefully. I highly recommend it. It's aged a bit, but look beyond the graphics and pay close attention while you're playing. IMO, Half-Life far exceeds the accomplishments of Half-Life 2.

Yeah, when Half-Life 2 came out its graphics and physics were groundbreaking but the environments and gameplay were so much better in Half-Life 1.
