Either way, your Fiat Scudo fuel filter will be in the fuel system. Therefore it will be located between the tank and the carburetor. You will be able to spot it because it is shaped like a cylinder with 2 rods and it is connected by 2 hoses. Finally, depending on the year, the fuel filter will sometimes be located between the 2 rear wheels
All work should be done with the engine stopped. Replacement: fuel filter – Fiat Punto 199. Recommended sequence of steps: Step 1. Open the bonnet. Step 2. Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. Step 3. Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines.
A conversation with a main dealer and ordering of a new pipe resulted in the wrong part turning up (a different shaped pipe for a later car). At this point I gave up!
